We understand that looking for the right training school for a career in dog grooming can be challenging so BIGA only supports those schools who are following a recognised qualification or accreditation pathway.
These schools follow a set of learning criteria subject to external standardisation from their awarding body. They have formal support and complaints procedures, should you require them.
Courses for dog grooming still varies widely. Some courses will follow the qualification pathways (usually colleges) and others will fast track and combine qualification contents in their own courses (Usually private schools)
When looking for a grooming school it is important that you find out who is teaching you the practical skills and what their experience levels are, as this will vary. Have a look at the tutors qualifications, accolades and reviews, as well as locations.
